The Calculate Average Budget dialog lets you set monthly budget amounts for a category based on an amount per time period.

At the top of the dialog is the category name that you are setting budget amounts for; at the right is the average monthly spending or income in the category.

What you can do here:

  • Enter an amount, select a time period, and select how you'd like to apply the result to your budget. Quicken then calculates a monthly budget amount based on the amount per time period entered and inserts it into your budget.
  • Click the Past Spending (or Income) amount to see a 12-month category history.
  • Click the rollover button to change the rollover setting of the category.
