Enter any adjustment to your living expenses, such as the birth of a child or change in day care. You can increase or decrease your living expenses for different stages of your life. Or you can select an existing adjustment and click Edit to change the information about it.
- Tips about entering adjustments to living expenses
- This adjustment is for a plan member: If you select a plan member and then exclude or delete this plan member from your plan, this adjustment is also excluded or deleted, respectively.
- If you make adjustments here you can see them on the Plan Summary report. To see any adjustments for a specific year, double-click that year in the Account Balances graph under the Plan: Results snapshot.
- Currency tips
The Lifetime Planner supports only U.S. currency. If you use non-U.S. currency accounts, their balances will be converted to U.S. dollars for planning. All currency amounts that you enter in the Lifetime Planner should be in U.S. dollars. If you have a multicurrency Quicken file and are not using U.S. dollars as your home currency, you will need to have U.S. dollars in your currency list with a current exchange rate.
