When you back up your data file, Quicken gives you the option to add a date to the end of the name. Adding a date makes it easy to see which data file is the most recent.
To add a date to a data file, in the Backup dialog, select the Add date to backup file name check box. When you do this, Quicken appends the backup date in the format [File name]-YYYY-MM-DD. This means Quicken displays a file named MyDATA backed up on May 12, 2017, as MyDATA-2017-05-12.
