  1. Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
  2. In the left pane, select Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts.
  3. In the right pane, select the settings you want to use.

    Quicken Profile

    • Update your Quicken Profile
      Click the Update Profile link to change your:
      • Name
      • Your Email/Quicken ID. You will receive all communications from Quicken, including mobile alerts on this email address. It is also used if you forget your Quicken ID or password, and you try to retrieve it
      • Password
      • Phone
      • SMS (Text). Used for security codes and other information.
      • Address
      • Change the security question associated with this Quicken ID. You should remember your security question and answer because you will need it handy if you forget your Quicken password and you want to retrieve it.
    • Sign Out
      Select Sign Out to sign if you want to sign out of this Quicken profile and sign in as a different user. Before you can sign in as a different user, you must first unlink your data file from the Quicken ID that you are currently using. When you "unlink" a data file from a Quicken ID, your data is no longer synced between your desktop data file and the mobile devices that use the same Quicken ID. Unlinking does not delete your Quicken ID, nor does it delete any of your data stored in the Quicken Cloud.
      • Your email address is used for all communications from Quicken, including mobile alerts. It is also used if you forget your Quicken ID or password.

      Why you might want to do this:

      • You can't remember the password for your Quicken ID, and you can't reset your password because you don't have access to the email account that you're using.
      • You want to use your Quicken ID with a different data file.
      • Membership & Subscriptions
        • Renew your subscription
        • View BillPay information
      • Download Quicken
        • Download desktop software for Windows or Mac
        • Redeem your Dropbox offer

    Update the accounts that are synced with your mobile devices

    • Select Cloud accounts associated with this Quicken ID to select or deselect the accounts that you want to sync with your mobile devices and receive alerts for.

    Edit Dataset Names

    • Select this to change the name of your dataset. This will change the way the name appears in your cloud account.


  4. Click OK to save your changes.
