The Quicken Care team might sometimes need to investigate a copy of your data file to provide you the right support. Quicken creates a sanitized copy of the data file to protect your privacy. The process involves removing all your personal information, including credentials and passwords and other personal details from your accounts and transactions.

  1. Open the file you want to sanitize.
    • What if I don't see the file I want to sanitize?
  2. Choose Help menu > Sanitize Data File Copy.
  3. In the Sanitize Your Data File window, click the Create a sanitized copy of your data file button.

A sanitized copy of your data file has been created. It is a zip file. You can share it now with the Quicken Care team.

By default, Quicken places your data file in the following location on your computer: My Documents > Quicken. (Quicken will create the Quicken folder automatically if it's not already there.)

If you want to copy the location of your file, click the Copy Path button.

If you want to open the location of your file, click the Go To Folder button. Quicken opens Windows Explorer to the folder where your file is located.
