Edit Yearly Budget
The Edit Yearly Budget dialog le=
ts you set monthly budget amounts for the year manually.
At the top of the dialog is the category name that you ar=
e setting budget amounts for, and your average monthly spending or income i=
n the category.
What you can do here:
- Enter budget amounts for the category for any or all m=
onths of the year, as necessary. For example, if you have an expense that o=
ccurs annually, it's OK to enter the full amount in the month that you pay =
it, rather than 1/12 of the amount over 12 months.
- Click the Past Spending (or Income) a=
mount to see a 12-month category history.
- Click the rollover button to change t=
he rollover setting of the category.
- Click Calculate Average to exit this =
dialog and set monthly budget amounts for the category based on spending or=
income per time period: such as $1 per day, $400 per week, or $5000 per qu=
arter. Quicken then calculates a monthly budget amount based on the amount =
per time period entered.
