You can rename a data file in Quicken for Windows using the following steps:
Locate your data file using File → Show this file on this computer…
The file name will end in .QDF.
- Close Quicken.
- Rename the .QDF file using Windows Explorer.
- Double-click the file to re-open Quicken using the re-named file.
It's always a good idea to make a backup of your Quicken data file before making any changes to it, in case something goes wrong.
