  1. Choose Edit menu > Preferences.
  2. In the left pane, click Notify.
  3. In the right pane, select the settings you want to use.
    • When entering out-of-date transactions
    • Before changing existing transactions
    • When entering uncategorized transactions
    • To run a reconcile report after reconcile
    • Warn if a check number is reused
    • When changing the account of an existing transaction
    • To save a transaction after changing it
  4. Click OK to save your changes.
