Quicken Bill Pay. When enrolling online for Quicken Bill Pay, we request your Social Security number and date of birth. This information is necessary to verify your identity at the time of enrollment. Your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number may be used to verify your identify and prevent fraudulent use of your account information in the event you contact Customer Service for assistance. This information will also be used to verify critical information about you, including your contact information, in relation to your Quicken Bill Pay service. Bank account information, such as account number, type and routing transit numbers, is used to process your payment and service fees. Your information is sent using secure socket layer technology to protect it during transmission. Your information is also encrypted using 40-bit or 128-bit encryption (whichever your browser supports) to make your information unreadable as it passes over the Internet.

The Quicken Bill Pay enrollment page is hosted by a third party, Metavante Payment Services LLC, on our behalf. Metavante is not permitted to use your information for anything other than to provide you the Quicken Bill Pay services you are requesting.


Quicken.com Investing Center. To use the Investing Center you must be a registered user of a currently supported version of Quicken software and you must have a Quicken.com member name and password. When registering, we verify your member name, password and Quicken software version year to allow you access to Quicken.com services.


Quicken Online. Quicken Online automatically downloads financial information, such as current account balances, into your Quicken Online Internet account. To provide you with this service, we must access your online bank account. We request the user name, password and any other account information ("log-in credentials") that you have set up with your financial institution to enable access. We use your log-in credentials to routinely update and maintain the financial information you download, to address errors or service interruptions and to enhance the type of data and automation services we may provide to you in the future. If we store your log-in credentials, they are encrypted and stored on our firewall-protected servers. For a few financial institutions, you are required to re-enter your log-in information prior to each download (and we don't store your credentials). Your financial information is transmitted using secure socket layer technology and is encrypted, so it is unreadable during transmission. It is then stored on our secure servers. If you delete your online banking account from Quicken Online or end your Quicken Online service, your bank log-in credentials and account information will be removed from our online servers.

The information you provide in Quicken Online and how you use the service may be used to personalize your experience. We use automated technology to tailor messages or advertisements that best reflect your interest and needs. For example, if your payee list includes Store A, we may display an advertisement from Store A while you are using Quicken Online. Please note, your personally identifiable information is not provided to advertisers.

We use anonymous, aggregate information to help improve our services to you. For example, we collect or review anonymous usage or download information, such as what features are used the most frequently, how many total customers may be downloading their information, or what data is most commonly entered into a feature, so that we understand how best to improve our service in future versions. Use of anonymous, aggregate information in this way also assists us with troubleshooting and technical support.

We may also share anonymous, aggregate information with third parties, such as advertisers. Aggregate information means that your anonymous information is combined with similar anonymous information from other users such that it no longer reflects or can be used to identify you as an individual user. For example, we may report that 50% of our users appear to frequent Store Y, while only 10% of our users frequent Store Z. Again, aggregate information does not include any information that personally identifies you. Online Communities. Online communities, such as discussion forums and blogs, enable our users to communicate with other user. To participate in forums and blogs, we require that you register with a valid e-mail address. We may use your e-mail address in the event we need to contact you regarding your postings or to inquire about your Community experience. We recommend that care be taken in posting personal information on forums or blogs, as any information you provide is viewable by other users and Quicken support staff.

Calculators and Tools. Our Web site provides various calculators, planners and tools, help you make the best financial decisions for you and your family. The financial information you provide when using these tools is used strictly to perform the calculations requested as you try various "what if" scenarios. We do not collect this information nor link it to any personally identifiable information. Once you close the tool, none of the information used in these calculations is saved.

Internet Chat Support. We offer live chat support services. Our chat sessions are encrypted. A transcript of the session is generated and retained, and may be used to resolve your current and potential future questions.

Feedback and Suggestions. We invite you to share your thoughts about your Quicken software product or service. To better understand your issue or suggestion, we may collect information about your Quicken product or service, such as the product you are using, the help screen you are on, browser version and operating system.
